Artis Weaver Sr. who is one of our founders is very ill. He has been hospitalized in East Texas Medical Center Tyler Texas for the last thirteen days. He is in room 5822. It was and is his dream to see our project helping children be a success. Both the organization and the family are in a time of great need. Do please come by, call, make donations or offerings to either or both. The family is financially stressed due to being so far from home with Bro. Weaver and the organization is as always in need of your support. Each year we face the crisis of obtaining insurance and covering annual costs of our mortgage.

Free help with homework & tutoring.
The Center has begun offering free or low cost homework help and free tutoring for any child in any grade. We also offer advanced diagnostics and remediation. Please call and make an appointment!

A.C.E. School is online!
We are currently accepting applications and registration for students ages 7 and up to attend our school. A diagnostic test must be administered so register soon. Classes start Aug. 27, 2010. Fund Administrator to become Doctor!
Art Weaver the founder of The Allie Perdomo Children's Fund and the Centers administrator has embarked on a mission to become a doctor of psychology.
Mr Weaver has been accepted at Ashford University and will be obtaining his BScPsych and MScPsych within the next two to three years. In addition to obtaining his Masters degree he intends to obtain a teachers certificate.
He will be completing his internship and Doctorate Thesis in Colorado Springs Co. where he will have to live for at least nine months. Please join us in congratulating Mr. Weaver on this momentous occasion!
Progress at our new facility
Our facility in Grapeland Texas is starting to shape up!
All the plumbing and electrical repairs have been completed. The renovations to the administrators office, conference room, foyer, learning center, dining hall/Chapel and resale shop are complete and we have begun painting and decorating in all areas. A high speed network and VOIP phone system are being installed and are nearly complete as well.
We need paint, building supplies, mini blinds, kitchen and office equipment and other items. PLEASE if you can help us with a donation or with your time contact us! Your can also help simply by contacting any store or business owners local to us and voting for us to receive any grants, donations or endowments they may offer. (Walmart in Crockett TX & Palestine TX, Lowe's in Palestine TX all offer community grants.) (6-26-2010)

Fund-Raising Events
We will be hosting rummage sales every few weekends all year long. We also hope we will soon have an upscale resale shop open in the building.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!!!
If you are willing to volunteer we will give you room and board in return for a days work. The rooms are decent, not great. You may have to share a room with another volunteer, and the bathrooms are down the hall. But, the food is good home style cooking'! Breakfast lunch and dinner will be served at the usual times.
Stay a day, a week or more, join our family! But if you drink, smoke, use bad language, or do drugs, don't apply, unless you are committed to quitting!
We also need volunteers to do light secretarial and janitorial work. We also need school monitors and supervisors. Sweeping, mopping, and general pickup only take 2-3 hours. Your help will free up time for our core people to do phone work and fundraising!
